The new American government definition of ‘Rape’ takes away from the traumatic experiance people who are actually raped go through.
“The carnal knowledge of a female forcibly and against her will.” to “The penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim.”
Fuck off, that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.
This definition is a complete disgrace to our society. How can the FBI change their definition of rape to something which incorporates an object? Their new concept completely takes away the seriousness of actual rape from another person. Violation and sexual assault at the hands of another human being without consent is rape. How can they compare such a traumatic experience as someone forcing themselves onto you, and violating you with a part of their body to someone sticking a probe into your body.
Those of you who believe it is ‘rape’ to give someone a vaginal ultrasound need to get a fucking grip. I’m all for feminism, but are you kidding me? In the context of a pre-abortion ultrasound, come on. If anything, not gaining someones consent in the medical field is an act of gross misconduct and violation of their human rights (in context), NOT A SEX CRIME.
Personally, if I were a victim of rape in the context of another violating me with a significant part of their body, I would be in complete disgust at this new definition and I would also be very angry at a person who claims to have been raped via vaginal ultrasound. They are two completely different things.

Today, our family found out that a close family friend has around 4-6 weeks to live due to cancer. I really need to talk to someone about it but I can’t. I hate seeing my dad upset and he’s devestated. I’ve reached out to people and all I’ve got is responces like:
‘Ah well, life takes us all. It’s natural.’
IT IS NOT NATURAL TO DIE AT 54 AND LEAVE BEHIND YOUR CHILDREN AND A WIFE. He never smoked or anything. My dad smokes, though. I’m terrified he will leave me a lot sooner than he should. Everyone is dropping life flies.
I just feel really alone today and I don’t have anyone.

I cannot believe that the MPAA rated this R for language.
Every teacher with a classroom of students aged 10 and up should be required to take their kids to see this movie.
